Dropping Pumpkins & Having Fun at the 2017 Fall Festival!

It’s almost here! Lake Geneva Canopy Tours will once again be hosting our Annual Pumpkin Drop and Fall Festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 28th and 29th, 2017. As always, the event will be held on LGCT’s scenic property with more activities than ever!

Our popular Lake Geneva festival now offers more space to celebrate the season, since we unveiled our new Welcome Center this past August, providing indoor restrooms, comfortable meeting spaces, and a cozy stone fireplace, as well!

What’s New in 2017?

Besides the expected seasonal fun, such as decorating pumpkins and embarking on zip line canopy tours through the colorful treetops, the Pumpkin Drop and Fall Festival will also include many new features.

1. A More Complete Pumpkin Drop Experience

One major change from years’ past is the pumpkin drop itself, which has been integrated into the canopy tour. Riders will now enjoy two hours of guided zip lining fun across 8 zip lines, 5 sky bridges, and 3 spiral staircases, completely surrounded by the vibrant autumn leaves.

The best is saved for last, as participants zoom down a 1,200-foot racing zip line with pumpkin in-hand to aim at a large, spray-painted bullseye below. Those who hit the target with their pumpkin win a special prize!

2. Festival Food Truck

What’s a festival without food? We’re very excited to have some tasty creations out on the property for this year’s festival, including sandwiches, salads, and other custom culinary creations. More details on food and beverage provisions are coming soon, so stayed tuned!

3. Live Musical Performances

This year, we’ll also be welcoming acoustic duo, Cody + Jess, to perform live from noon to 3pm, on both Saturday and Sunday. Their unique, western sound and Oklahoma roots put an intriguing spin on many of today’s top hits, as well as the classics.

4. Outdoor Scavenger Hunt

In order to hold a two-day event, you must have two days’ worth of things to do. This exciting activity for kids and families is an excellent way to explore the outdoors with multiple stops along our arbor trails. Learn the different types of leaves, trees, and terrain you’ll find across on our 100-acre property, and spend some quality time in the woods.

5. Free Arbor Trails Passes

Speaking of the woods, we’re also offering free access to over 9-miles of hiking and biking trails that wind the perimeter of our land. We’ve recently been clearing and widening our trails to support a cleaner walking and mountain biking experience for our guests.

We’ve also improved our trail signage and produced an easy-to-read trail map to allow for simple navigation on either two feet or two wheels.
