We are very excited to announce that the High Ropes Excursion officially reopened this month!
Our maintenance team has been hard at work repairing damage sustained in a severe windstorm on July 3rd. Extreme winds took down three trees in the course. Several elements were retired, needing new ones in their place. Our team added one new platform with three brand new elements extending from it, and we are loving the new look!
- John Deere connects to the far corner of the course. Tires used in this element are recycled from our very own John Deere Tractor and are suspended between the trees by tri-strand twisted ropes.
- The Logs we are affectionately calling NSK pay homage to several lost elements, borrowing the triangular shape with two parallel cables from our old Burma Bridge and combining it with the shaved log look of our old Super Mario. Logs used in this element were all hand-shaved by our staff, harvested from pine trees damaged in the storm.
- The Slackline is the most challenging new element and pushes participants to test their balancing ability as they cross from one platform to another. We also love how it adds a pop of color!
We were happy to host our first High Ropes Excursions on the new and improved course on Saturday, September 12th, with a Boy Scout troop and several families being the first guests to experience the new adventure. Come see for yourself how they turned out!
